HISTORICAL HORSES
The Riding of the Marches took place this weekend in Edinburgh (who knew), it involves horses- Ben was hesitant to stop by for a look, he has terrible horse allergies. There will be no romantic beach rides in our future.

The Edinburgh Riding of the Marches is a traditional event that sees around 250 horseback riders riding from the outskirts of Edinburgh up the Royal Mile to the Mercat Cross for a blessing. Even for the non-horse lovers out there, it was interesting to witness.
More to come this week- our weekend with Mary and Colin, my travel schedule for October, a fun athletic challenge and more! Have a great Monday.

LOVELY LATVIA… Ben and I are hoping to join Will and Ieva in Latvia this summer for sightseeing and a Sting concert. Ieva sent this video to us a while back peak our excitement for a visit to her homeland, the video does help, but meeting her adorable dad and talented brother, they sealed the deal. Get ready Latvia, here we come!
Fingers crossed John, Adele, AO and Charlie are up for it as well. By July, I might just be ready to talk to my family again!

TRAVEL MONDAY… In April 2011, Ben and I were in London. I was there to give a sales training at one of GGSB’s partner schools. We extended our stay to go to Reigate to see Ben’s friends Paul, Helen and their sons Jack and Oliver.
London has been one of my favorite cities since I studied in Birmingham in 1996 and I visited on several occasions. In 2000 it went up slightly when I went to see my friend Jessica, who was spending a year there. Oh the fun we had, I wonder, is the Leopard night club still there? London moved to one of my top-three European capitals when I met Ben and he showed me his-London. The museums, the hidden parks, his favorite record stores and restaurants.
During my London visits I am hit by nostalgia. From seeing the Tower of London with my family, playing the ultimate tourist at the Hard Rock Cafe with my Study-in-England group, having tea with Jessica at the Orangery in Kensington Palace, a quick stop at the Tate Modern with Will, a Ben-organized walking tour with John and Adele, a trip to Belgo with Steph and friends or having a romantic dinner with Ben at Cafe Emm in Soho. Such great memories packed into one city. Looking forward to my next visit.
