THE FEVER
Life in the U.K. is so exciting at the moment. Although things have calmed a bit since the Queen’s Jubilee in early June, but as July 27 approaches, we are ramping up again.
I could not have planned it better- on June 14 (Ben’s birthday), the Olympic Torch Relay passed through Edinburgh. We arrived in the Grassmarket at 6.30 a.m. to ensure we beat the crowds. Oh did we! It was empty!
We saw torch bearer Kai Wong carry the flame on our particular leg. You can read Kai’s story here.

(Go Kai, go!)

(The Torch is accompanied by Torch Security Team - they have been training for 18 months)
The torch will pass within 10 miles of 95% of the U.K. population before arriving on London for the Open Ceremony on July 27. You can read more about the Danny Boyle (Trainspotting, Slumdog Millionaire and 127 Hours) directed production here.
I will try to get a photo of the lit cauldron at the Olympic Park.
